Wade Ferguson
I am a Clinical Psychologist and the owner of New Order Psychology. I am committed to understanding people in all their complexity. My work is grounded in the belief that lasting change requires genuine curiosity about who you are, how you became this way, and what gets in the way of living as you want to live.
My approach draws on both contemporary evidence-based methods and the richer work of depth psychology. I am trained in Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). I bring these approaches alongside a psychoanalytic sensibility that considers the role of early experience and unconscious patterns in daily functioning.
I have considerable experience working with a wide range of presentations across the lifespan. My particular expertise and interest are in working with complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, personality disorders, and interpersonal issues. I also offer couples counselling and family system approaches for children.
Additional Information
I provide psychological assessments and reports for official diagnosis. For those with a more curious mind, I provide formulation (psychoanalysis) documentation to aid therapy.
